New Pinewoods Web Site Launched Sat, 2014-02-01 22:02

A new web site has been launched for local charity, The Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG).  The new web site, created free of charge by local business Yorkshire Websites, aims to bring together details of all projects and events the group is involved with. New members are also now able to sign up online via an interactive form.

New Map and Leaflet Published - Valley Gardens to RHS via Pinewoods Mon, 2014-04-07 19:15

The RHS have recently published an update leaflet and map that shows the 1.5m walk from Harrogate Town Centre through Valley Gardens, the Pinewoods before reaching RHS Harlow Carr. A copy can be downloaded here or found at tourist informaiton.

New Management Plan Published for 2018 to 2028 Sat, 2018-03-17 12:31

We are pleased to confirm that a new management plan for the Pinewoods has now been published by Harrogate Council. The plan covers the next 10 years, from 2018 to 2028. The plan covers the 10 areas of the Pinewoods and outlines maintenance plans for each section.

Memorial Tree for Veronica Davenport Thu, 2014-11-27 18:08

This morning we planted a memorial tree in memory of one of our founding Members who died a year ago, Veronica Davenport. It was cold, wet & muddy but we had 20 people there & 11 dogs and there were others that wanted to come but were unable to make it. We planted a native crab apple and put some bulbs at the base. The following verse was read out by one of Veronica’s friends;

The Consevation Volunteers are a charity who reclaim green spaces and run environmental projects through a network of community groups (such as Pinewoods Conservation Group) and volunteers. Launch of Crowd Justice Fund Thu, 2020-01-02 14:47

We are seeking to challenge development of around 4 acres of the Pinewoods to allow for expansion of Harrogate Spring Water.
