We have now received our commissioned Ecology Report that outlines the full impact of the planned development of Rotary Wood. It also raises a number of concerns regarding the Harrogate Spring Water commissioned report undertaken last year. This report has been submitted to Harrogate Council as additional information to support our objection. Detail |

With massive thanks to Open Country the path from the War Memorial to Harlow Moor Road has been resurfaced. Works took the best part of 3 days but the result are very impressive with new gravel being added and compacted. We will review the need for any additional works after the winter. Detail |

The Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG) has secured over £40,000 of funding this year to help with conservation and improvements of The Pinewoods. The funds will be used for a number of key projects including the re-surfacing of a main path, professional removal of Himalayan Balsam plus the re-introduction of native wild flowers. Detail |

Let's add a touch of enchantment to the forest by painting our own elf doors. Get your creative spirit ready and bring some extra magic to this festive season. We have 24 numbered elf doors that need to be painted so that we can put them up in the Pinewoods for the advent walk. We'll provide the base doors (with thanks to Harlow Hill Men in Sheds) and we will collect if needed. You bring the imagination! Let's make this woodland adventure truly special. Get painting! A number of members have asked us about the area cleared in the woods next to Harlow Moor Road. We have had no prior warning of any works and seeking confirmation on full details from Harrogate Council. We know from North Yorkshire County Council that works are taking place to improve footpaths and add a pedestrian island as part of the recent Miller Homes development. We will keep all updated here and also via our Facebook and Twitter feeds. Detail |
