Are you looking for something different this year as a Christmas stocking filler? Pinewoods Conservation Group is offering a limited number of annual membership packs to include a pin badge and gift certificate. Membership is only £5 for individuals and £7 for families.

All funds raised go towards the maintenance and conservation of the Pinewoods. Members will also receive regular newsletters and updates on events and projects with the opportunity to get more involved if desired.

Additional Nest Boxes for the Pinewoods Thu, 2015-02-26 19:31 Over 100 Bird and Bat Boxes Now Erected Within the Pinewoods

Members and volunteers from the Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG) were joined by 20th Harrogate Scouts and staff from RHS Harlow Carr as part of a National Nest Box Week.

Bat boxes build by 20th Harrogate Scouts and bird boxes donated by RHS Harlow Carr were added to the various boxes already in place. This now makes a total of over 100 boxes now available for use within the Pinewoods.

This morning we ventured into the woods with some of our intrepid volunteers to do some balsam bashing! It was raining but it did not deter us and we had great fun….

So much so that we are arranging another get together in a couple of weeks to do some more.

Chalara (Ash die-back) confirmed near to the Pinewoods Tue, 2015-10-13 15:07

Harrogate Council have just confirmed that Chalara (known as Ash die-back) has been identified in a single Ash tree near to the Pinewoods. Swift removal of the infected tree has been arranged by the land owner.

As there are a number of young Ash in the Pinewoods members are encouraged to look out for signs of infection when in the woods and report to us if needed.

Pinewoods Conservation Group is pleased to be 1 of 3 Charities being supported by Co-Op stores on Otley Road Harrogate.

On purchasing Co-op branded goods you could donate 1% percentage of your purchase monies to us or you can donate to all 3 nominated causes equally.

Harrogate Borough Council has given the green light on a proposal by Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG) to transform Irongate field into a green community space. The field, situated on Harlow Moor Road next to Harrogate Spring Water bottling plant, will see a number of enhancements over the next few months.

Council Protection for The Pinewoods Extended Thu, 2020-03-05 15:58

Harrogate based conservation charity Pinewoods Conservation Group (PCG) has been granted a renewal of its Asset of Community Value designation for the Pinewood, Harrogate. The Pinewoods, including Rotary Woods and Irongate Field, was first offered additional protection under the Localism Act in 2015 for an initial 5 years. This extension, the 1st ever granted by Harrogate Council, will see this protection extended to March 2025.
