How to Object To Rotary Wood Plans Tue, 2021-03-02 12:47

Following the rejection of the recent planning variation for a larger extension to the Harrogate Spring Water bottling plant into Rotary Wood, we can now confirm that the original application is now being reviewed by Harrogate Council. The full plans for the original extension were submitted in May 2020 along with the variation for the larger extension. (As a reminder outline planning for the original extension was approved in May 2017 with a number of strict condition.) We held any decision on those full plans until we knew the outcome of the application for the larger site. However, we now expect the planning committee to be asked to approve the original application over the next few months.

The formal opening, sponsored by Harrogate Spring Water took place at 1pm by Mayor Cllr Jim Clark in a rare moment of sunshine. Despite the mixed weather about 100 people attend, many with bears to see the field and enjoy food prepared by 20th Harrogate Scouts. There was also a “bested dressed bear” competition as well as a visit from a rather large bear!

Memorial Tree for Veronica Davenport Thu, 2014-11-27 18:08

This morning we planted a memorial tree in memory of one of our founding Members who died a year ago, Veronica Davenport. It was cold, wet & muddy but we had 20 people there & 11 dogs and there were others that wanted to come but were unable to make it. We planted a native crab apple and put some bulbs at the base. The following verse was read out by one of Veronica’s friends;

There is a list of folks we know

All written in a book
