We are encouraging residents and visitors into the Pinewoods to celebrate our 15 years anniversary. The group was formed in October 2002 and was formally given charity status on 30th January 2003.
To celebrate this anniversary the charity has launched “Pinewood Rocks” to encourage residents and visitors alike into the woods between now and its’ official birthday on 30th January. A number of painted rocks will been hidden within the woods for visitors to find from Saturday 14th October. People are asked to share images of themselves and rocks online and then re-hide them for others to find.
Residents are also encouraged to paint and hide their own rocks adding “Pinewoods Rocks” and their name to the stones. A prize is being offered for the best painted rock.
Those finding rocks are encouraged to post on twitter using the hashtag #PinewoodsRocks or via the special Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/PinewoodsRocks/. Rocks hidden by the PCG will be numbered with more added over the 3 months.
