Dig for Victory with Pinewoods Conservation Group

Valley Gardens will once again host a 1940s themed fundraising day organised by and in aid of Friends of Valley Gardens on Sunday 29 June between 11am and 5pm and Pinewoods Conservation Group will be exhibiting in the Sun Pavilion.

To celebrate the opening of the Irongate Field we will be holding a teddy bears picnic. This event is free and open to all to pack a picnic and a blanket from 12pm to 2pm.  Harrogate Mayor Cllr Jim Clark will be formerly opening the site at 1pm.

Our new information board will also be revealed created by award winning Harry Potter artist Jason Cockcroft who is also hoping to attend.

Our Open Day this year will be on the 13th September 2014. It will be on the recreation area from 11am-3pm.

The main attractions this year will be a flying display of owls and a dog agility show. There will also be a mini digger to drive from The HACS Group.

As many of you knew our Member who died last year – Veronica Davenport. A memorial tree being planted for her within the Pinewoods..

This is being organised by a close group of her friends, but anyone who knew her that wishes to go may do so.

It will be on the 27th November 2014 at 10.30am. It is being placed on the memorial path near to the recreation area

Come and join our Pinewoods Easter Egg Hunt with a Quiz and Scavenger hunt thrown in as well.  Between 11am and 1pm on Saturday 28th March come and hunt for the hidden eggs to reveal the magic phrase. There is also a Pinewoods Quiz to complete and a scavenger hunt to keep you occupied.
